Naval Station Rota

U.S. Naval Station, Rota is a 6000-acre Spanish Navy installation commanded by a Spanish admiral & serves as the headquarters for the Spanish Navy. The base is located on the Bay of Cadiz, between the town of Rota & El Puerto de Santa Maria in the province of Cadiz.

MWR ROTA has its very own drive-in movie theatre! THE BIG PICTURE: People are discovering and rediscovering drive-in theatres, cinema al fresco, in increasing numbers, and are contributing to a revival of the drive-in theatre after many years of decline. ATTENTION: There are some restrictions on traveling to NAVSTA Rota and to the lodging facility on base. Before making your reservation, please check eligibility requirements listed below:
- Active Duty members on TAD/TDY orders and on leave.
- DOD Civilian government employees on TAD/TDY orders and on leave. DOD employees on leave will be required to have their passport, CAC Cards and a proof of leave (leave absence form/SF71/OPM Form 71).
- U.S contractors are authorized on board with approval from ODC Madrid (U.S contractors are not eligible to stay at the lodging facility on base).
- Reservists only on TAD/TDY orders. (Reservists holding only CAC card without orders are not authorized access).
- Retirees holding DD form 2.
- Dependents holding DD form 1173.

CAB SERVICE ALLOWED ON BASE: Rota cab only.
